How to book accommodation for World Cup Qatar 2022™

The largest event of the year, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, will take place from November 21 to December 18, 2022. When it comes to accommodation, there are several options available to fans throughout the globe.

Here's how you secure a room!

Haya Card

Fans must get a Hayya Card after buying match tickets. This card will be foreign visitors' admission permission. Ticket holders get free public transportation on game days. Check out our guide here.

Points to note for accommodation

1. Match ticket holders may purchase unlimited nights. However, Bookings should meet match dates.
2. You may book hotels/holidays online or via other ways.
3. It is possible to transfer accommodation from one guest to another with an admin fee of QR 100 (US$ 27.47).

Note:

• If you are an international fan making a matchday visit to Qatar you will not need to arrange accommodation. However, you will still need to apply for Hayya Card.
• FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ ticketholders are currently prioritized for bookings on the Official Accommodation Agency website. You will need a valid Ticket Application Number to complete your booking.

How to book accommodation?

Step 1: The first step is to go to www.qatar2022.qa/book

Step 2: Next, browse through the options available as per your choice and for your preferred dates. (These steps are the same to book: apartments & villas, cruise ship hotels, hotels, fan villages, holiday homes)

Step 3: Once you've zeroed in on your option, select the dates, type your Ticket Application Number and click on 'Validate'. You will need to do this step in order to book a room

Step 4: After this step, you can look through and select the type of room based on your preference and budget and click on "add to bag".

Step 5: Once done, you can go to your bag and fill up the "guest details". Once the details are filled in, you can finish the payment and your booking is confirmed.

What happens after making an accommodation booking?

• You will receive a booking number and confirmation email that verifies your booking has been completed.
• Closer to the event you will receive your e-voucher and specific guidance regarding your booking, including the check-in and check-out process.

 

How to register your property to host friends & family?

Instructions for international fans:

Family members and friends hosting you will need to register their property and confirm your details. Once your host confirms your details, your accommodation arrangements will be automatically validated. No further action is required from your side.

Instructions for hosts (who must be aged 18 and above):

If you are planning to have guests, including family members and friends, stay during the tournament, then you will need to register your property. This is so your guests' Hayya Card applications can be validated.

Step 1: Go to www.hayya.qatar2022.qa/en/group/hayya/accommodation and check the "Legal Liability Disclaimer".

Step 2: Next, type in the "Host QID" and "Expiry Date" and validate your QID. An SMS will be sent to the mobile number linked to the QID for verification.

Step 3: Once your QID is validated, the next step is to fill in the "Property Adress". Please note:

• You can add only 5 properties at most.
• You can add a maximum of 10 guests per property.
• You can delete a property only if there are no guests assigned to it.
• Once a property is added, and there are guests assigned to it, it cannot be deleted or changed.
• Your guests will be able to stay with you from 1 November 2022 to 23 January 2023.

Step 4: Once you've validated and added your property details, the next step is to fill in the "Guest Details" like Guest Name, Passport Details, and Nationality.

Step 5: Once this is done, the accommodation options will be automatically validated, no further action will be required after this.
